Biography
Zurab Chumburidze (Georgian: ზურაბ ჭუმბურიძე; born 6 July 1926, Terjola District) — Georgian philologist, critic, Doctor of Sciences in the field of philology (1969), professor (since 1970), member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1948) and Georgian writers' Union, author of nearly 250 literary and linguistic works much of which is published as a book.
He graduated from the faculty of philology at Tbilisi State University in 1949. He published his first book — „Issues about Georgian literary language and style“ (1956). His major works include:

„Literary writings“ (1975)
„The mercy of mother language“ (1982)
„Following Georgian manuscripts“ (1983, 2000)
