Biography
Włodzimierz Wojciech Ptak, M.D. (born 2 November 1928) is a Polish immunologist and microbiologist, retired professor at the Institute of Immunology at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (since 1986) and Polish Academy of Learning (since 1989).
In 1977 he was decorated with a Knight's Cross of Polonia Restituta, and in 1997 with a Commander's Cross of Polonia Restituta.
