Willam "Billy" Thomas is a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, playing at representative level for Wales, and at club level for York, as a stand-off/five-eighth, i.e. number 6.

Billy Thomas played Stand-off/Five-eighth in Wales' 18-23 defeat by England at Fartown Ground, Huddersfield on 18 March 1931.

Billy Thomas played Stand-off/Five-eighth in York's 8-22 defeat by Halifax in the 1931 Challenge Cup Final during the 1930–31 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 2 May 1931, in front of a crowd of 40,368.
