Wendy Ayche (born January 9, 1986) known professionally as Wengie, is an Australian YouTube personality and vlogger. She was born in Guangzhou,China. She got the nickname "Wengie" when she was taking a dance class and there were two people gave her a nickname "Wengie".The nickname "Wengie" was inspired by her Chinese name, Wén Jié. Since starting her channel on February 11, 2013, her videos have received over 281 million views, and her channel has accumulated over 11 followersIn the January 2016 edition of ElleGirl Japan, she was nominated as a channel to watch. In August 2016, she was ranked the 5th Fastest growing channel in the world. Ayche was featured in the annual YouTube Rewind in 2016 and was also singled out by Google as one of the top beauty creators in the Asia region. Ayche reached 5 million YouTube subscribers in January 2017, and her channel is currently in the 12th most subscribed How-To & Style Channel on YouTube. She is also currently a board member of the Internet Creators Guild, a non-profit focused on providing the protection, representation and guidance to online creators. Her YouTube channel also recently got awarded with "Best Channel" as well as "Overall Winner" for the Australian Online Video Awards.

On February 11, 2013, Ayche started a YouTube channel under her name "Wengie". Her most popular video is DIY Edible School Supplies - 8 Pranks for Back to School and her other most popular videos usually share interesting life hacks or DIYs with her audience. In September 2016, Teen Vogue featured her Harley Quinn look, which she created using only candy. Her first live performance was for YouTube FanFest in Manila 2016 where she interviewed international YouTube talent such as Alex Wassabi, AJ Rafael as well as local talent Gab Valenciano backstage. In April 2016 she was also a notable streamer that helped launch Kamcord, a US-based startup which has become a hub for mobile gaming fans who want to watch gamers play titles like Clash of Clans or Minecraft.
Wengie calls her subscribers Wengiecorns and there are a lot of Instagram fan accounts about Wengie.

Vlog Channel
In December 2011, Ayche created a second channel called WengieVlogs, where she chronicles her daily activities, includes behind the scenes footage from her videos as well as shares videos and content she loves. As of September 2017, WengieVlogs has over 1.5 million subscribers and 23+ million views.
Other pursuits
On July 15, 2017, Ayche launched her very first App title, World of Wengie, in partnership with Victorious, allowing her fans a more intimate experience with the social star. The App features its own community chat room where fans can not only get to know each other but also have an experience of being in a group chat with Ayche herself.
She will also be featured in The Powerpuff Girls (2016) as the voice of Blisstina Utonium in the Australian and New Zealand Version of the Special "Power of Four".
Music
It was also revealed that Ayche is dabbling in creating music in China, a brand new market. Her first single "Baby Believe Me" was launched in China on 13 July 2017.
Before Fame
Before Wengie was a Youtuber, she was an accountant earning six figures. She started off as a part-time Youtuber, editing her videos during breaks. She then became a full-time Youtuber as she wanted to do what she liked.
