Biography
Tsoro Deep (23 July 1977) was born (Sifiso Mavuso) in a small village called Belgrade in Pongola KZN.
Early years
Mavuso's love for music was triggered at an early age he grew up singing during traditional events as a young boy. He was soon introduced to an accordion and developed an interest in it and started playing it at the age of 13. He later moved to Secunda in Mpumalanga to stay with his Uncle, who introduced him to contemporary music like: Pop and Soul, American Gospel.
Education
His love for music grew stronger as he started directing choir at church. By then he had realized that he wanted to pursue music on full-time basis, this saw him enrolling at Light Music at Durban University of Technology (DUT) majoring in Piano, arranging, film music, harmony and ensemble. Mavuso then went on to do a year and obtained a BTech Music degree in Pretoria at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) majoring in Jazz studies for Piano, Arranging, Music Production, Studio Technique and Song Writing.
Career
Mavuso has toured the world and has worked with many South African artists as a Pianist, a Keyboardist and a producer. South African artists he worked with includes Simphiwe Dana, Siphokazi, Sipho Gumede, Joyous Celebration, and Ntokozo Mbambo etc. He worked in studio sessions collaborating with many accomplished South African artists such in the popular music such as Dj Ganyani, Zakes Bantwini, Nqubeko Mbatha. Mavuso has toured countries including: Brazil, China, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, London, East and West Africa.
While working as a Music Director for Covenant Fellowship Church International (CFCI), one of the biggest churches in South Africa, his work also includes producing for various South African Pop and Gospel Artists such as Nqubeko Mbatha, Nomusa Dhlomo and Vuka Afrika and Zakes Bantwini
