Steve Bolton

Steve Bolton (born 18 December 1967) is a British property investor, entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and author.

By the age of 8, Bolton was following stocks and shares and by 11 he was gambling pocket money on horses. Bolton attended Winton Boys School in Bournemouth and left aged 16 with no qualifications. Due to a love of the outdoors, Bolton studied for an apprenticeship working in outdoor pursuits.

Bolton started a company Ropes Course Developments that built high and low adventure ropes courses for Center Parcs, First Choice Holidays and the Royal Air Force in Europe, as well as 12 other countries. In 2000, Bolton set up Head 4 Heights providing management consultancy and development training, servicing a number of well-known blue chip and other high-profile clients including the British Lions, Microsoft and KPMG. Following the 2001 outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Britain and the economic fallout that followed the 9/11 attacks, Bolton's businesses were practically wiped out, and he was forced to sell his own home to avoid bankruptcy. He credits that period as being "the best worst experience of my life" as it taught him the power of owning underlying assets.

Having developed a multimillion-pound property portfolio, he followed his accountant's advice to develop a franchise which would enable him to allow others to build their own profitable portfolios.

Bolton founded Platinum Property Partners in 2007, with the goal of enabling its franchisees to quickly, safely and successfully build UK residential property portfolios. Bolton also has a lead interest in property projects worth over £50 million.

Bolton is the author of "Successful Property Investing: How to earn £50,000 to £150,000 in two to five years" published in 2012. Prior to this, with Nick Carlile, he co-authored "The 7 Biggest Mistakes Made by Property Investors and How to Avoid Them". Bolton is a frequent keynote speaker on entrepreneurship, property investing and life balance, he is also a regular expert panellist at many national property investing and business start up exhibitions held across the UK. He has featured on 'Property Pensions', 'Head to Head' and 'Property Kings' on Sky Overseas Property Channel.

Bolton is President of the Patrons programme for Peace One Day and supports many good causes through Platinum Property Partners. The charity is dedicated to achieving global ceasefire and non-violence for one day every year on 21 September and is ratified by the United Nations.
