Siri Devi Khandavilli

Siri Devi Khandavilli (born 1 July) also known as Siri Devi Narayan, is a contemporary artist working in the realms of paintings, performance art, video art and installations.
She was born in India and grew up in Bangalore near Shankarmutt, a Hindu temple and Vedic school. She trained in Indian traditional painting while in India. Siri moved to the USA in 1999 and studied new media arts, video/ 3D modeling and intermedia at Arizona State University. The experience morphed her into a visual artist who is very much at home with various mediums of artistic expression. Emotive and sensual, she draws her inspiration from metaphors and symbols drawn from Hindu myths/rituals blending them with pop culture surrounding her. Siri has been noted as an artist of the present and her art cuts across cultures and geographies. She has been recognized as one of the best emerging artists in India by leading curators, critics and journalists. Siri Khandavilli has been chosen to be part of various important exhibitions of Indian art and museum shows.
