Sifeng Liu

Sifeng Liu (born. 15 July 1955) is an expert of grey system theory and is currently the Director of Institute for Grey Systems Studies at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China. He is the pupil of Julong Deng, the founder of Grey System Theory. He is Honorary Fellow of the World Organization of Systems and Cybernetics and Editor of The Journal of Grey System, an Science Citation Index (SCI) publication from UK. He also taught at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. Liu obtained his MS in Economics (1986) and PhD in Systems Engineering (1998) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. In 2002, one of his papers was recognized by the World Organization of Systems and Cybernetics as one of the best papers of its 12th International Congress.

He has published over 200 research papers and 16 books related to grey system theory or systems engineering. He co-authored some books and many papers with Jeffrey Yi-Lin Forrest. He is credited with building several Grey Models that are being applied in various fields including economics, engineering and social sciences. He advanced the concept of Deng's grey relational analysis model and proposed Absolute Degree of Grey Incidence Model.
