Biography

Scott Hill (born 30 May 1977 in Forster, New South Wales) is an Australian retired professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s and 2000s. He was previously with the Harlequins Rugby League club in the European Super League. His usual position is at five-eighth. Hill previously played in Australia for the Melbourne Storm, Hunter Mariners (one of only two players to play in all the club's games in their lone season) and the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Scott Hill is a former New South Wales and Australian representative player.

Renowned for his swiftness, speed and sleight of hand, Hill has often been seen as a real entertainer in Rugby League. Though he is often seen as brilliant by many, he has been criticised for not being able to consistently perform at the highest level. His good form over the years has seen him represent both his state (NSW) and country (Australia).
Recruited by the Storm from the Hunter Mariners, Hill was among several Melbourne Storm players from the club's inaugural year: 1998. He missed the Storm's 1999 NRL grand final win over the St. George Illawarra Dragons due to a knee reconstruction. Having won the 1999 Premiership, the Melbourne Storm travelled to England to contest the 2000 World Club Challenge against Super League Champions St Helens RLFC, with Hill playing at five-eighth and scoring two tries in the victory.
Seven seasons later Hill was still with Melbourne and his last match for them was at five-eighth in the 2006 NRL Grand Final loss to the Broncos. Leaving at the end of that season, Hill moved to London to play for the Harlequins club of Super League.
