Biography

Rob Hartnell (born November 18, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey and inline hockey player. Hartnell played four seasons (1990 - 1993) of major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Tri-City Americans, where he scored 98 goals and 129 assists for 227 points, while earning 423 penalty minutes, in 191 games played. Hartnell began his professional career in 1993, skating three seasons in the East Coast Hockey League before moving to the British Hockey League to play with the Dumfries Border Vikings for the 1995–96 season. From 1996 to 1999 Hartnell played in the Western Professional Hockey League, before finally joining the Idaho Steelheads of the West Coast Hockey League with the 1999–2000 season. He stayed with the Steelheads for two seasons, but he returned to play just a single game for the team (now in the ECHL) during the 2003–04 season. Hartnell continued to play senior hockey, winning the 2009 Allan Cup with the Bentley Generals.
