Rishi Kaushik

Rishi Kaushik (Assamese: ঋষি কৌশিক) (Bengali:ঋষি কৌশিক) is an Indian actor who acts prominently in serials. He is well known for Dr.Ujan Chatterjee, the character played by him in popular Star Jalsa serial Ekhane Aakash Neel and also for his role in another popular Bengali mega serial- Ishti Kutum where he played the role of the male protagonist Archisman Mukherjee.While acting in Ishti Kutum.

Rishi was born and grew up in Tezpur, Assam. He graduated from Tezpur Academy and Guwahati University. He left Tezpur and came to Calcutta in 2002. His original name is Kamakhayakinkar Kaushik, pet name is Rishi.

Rishi has fascination for acting from childhood.But it is surprising that he did not act so much when he was student of school and college. Rather than he concentrated on his body fitness. In 2001 he won Assam Malestorm Contest.Besides that he was the finalist of Mumbai famous Gladrags Mega Model Man Hunt where he got the popular TV host Shekhar Suman as judge.

His debut film is an Assamese film 'Rong'.Where he acted against Nishita Goswami,daughter of National Film winner actor Malaya Goswami.In Calcutta his first telefilm 'Daman' against the popular actress Indrani Haldar Rishi always thanks to Mamonidi (Indrani Haldar) for helping him to cope with Bengali language. His debut film in Bengali is Kranti (2006 film) directed by Riingo Banerjee, where he played a negative role.His breakthrough excellence is Ekhane Aakash Neel,in 2008.In this serial he gets Aparajita Ghosh as his co actress.Their Ujan-Hiya couple was phenomenon in that time.

Rishi has knacks for bike. He loves animals. As a man Rishi is very casual, polite and soft. He deals with his fan regularly through social networking.

In 2011, Rishi married his long-time girlfriend Debjani.
