Ravneet "Sippy" Chadha

Ravneet Sippy Chadha is a Kenyan Writer-Director, based in Nairobi.

Chadha was born in India and later migrated to Canada where she studied psychology and business. After education, she moved to Nairobi, Kenya. As a child, she had to conform to a rigid set of rules. She rebelled against the rules that denied her self-expression, and now, she uses films as the medium to express herself.

In 2004, she founded Kaaya Films production company in Nairobi. Under this label, in 2005, she launched her career with film Kibera Kid (co-produced with Nathan Collett.)

In 2007, she quit financial services and took on film-making as her career.
