Biography
Cressida Rachel Jupp (born 1977) is a British television producer and the current Editor, since September 2016, of Panorama.
Early life
She was born in the London Borough of Wandsworth. She has an older brother (born 1971) and an older sister (born 1973). Her parents, Tom Jupp (born 1939) and Cressida Penning-Rowsell (born 1942 in Wiltshire), married in Oxfordshire in 1967. Her father worked in further education, teaching English. As a (Labour-supporting) family they would go on anti-racism marches. She attended Orleans Park School in Twickenham. As a student she worked at Demos (UK think tank). Her parents live in Islington.
Her maternal grandfather was Marlborough College-educated Edmund Penning-Rowsell, who wrote heavily on wine notably Bordeaux wine, and for Marxism Today. He also had a son in 1946, and another daughter in 1945. Subsequent generations of the family have attended state comprehensive schools in north London.
Her brother, Ben (Benedict), is married to Helen Hayes (politician), a Labour London MP. Her brother met his Labour MP wife at Demos in the 1990s; he works at Social Finance Ltd., and has worked in the UK government as a Director of Public Services Strategy.

She joined Channel 4 in 2006. She became Head of Home News.
BBC
She became Deputy Editor of Newsnight, with Neil Breakwell, when aged 35. In early September 2016 she was appointed as the new Editor of Panorama. She is the first female Editor of Panorama since Glenwyn Benson who ran the series from 1992–95, and the second female Editor.
Personal life
She lives in the London Borough of Islington.
