Biography
Pieter Groenewald is a South African politician. He serves as a member of the National Assembly of South Africa, and he is the leader of the Freedom Front Plus political party.
Early life
Pieter Groenewald was born in South Africa. He graduated from North-West University in Potchefstroom, where he earned a B.luris degree, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Communications, a master's degree in Management and Development, and a doctorate in Politics.
Career
Groenewald was elected as the mayor of Stilfontein in 1988.
Groenewald was a co-founder of Freedom Front Plus, a pro-Afrikaner nationalism political party, in 1994. Since 12 November 2016 he is its leader.
Since 1994-1999 and then from 2001, Groenewald has served as a member of the National Assembly of South Africa, where he is elected on the national list. He was also member of the Northwest Legislature from 1999-2001. North West. He was re-elected in 2014. In June 2017, he warned that a civil war will start (see parliament Hansard) if the government expropriated land without compensating the landowners.
