Biography
Olivia Plender (born 1977) is an artist based in London and Stockholm.
Plender was born in London. Her work is often based on historical research and consists of architectural installations, videos, performances and comics. Recent projects have investigated early 20th century social and religious movements, such as the Kibbo Kift Kindred and addressed subjects such as the changing attitudes to education and value in the contemporary knowledge economy, in installations such as "Google Office", Taipei Biennial 2010.
Between 2002- 6 she made a comic book called The Masterpiece, about the life of a fictional artist in 1960s London.
Plender was co-editor of Untitled Magazine from 2002 until it closed in 2008.
