Biography
Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton (Bengali: নূর-ই-আলম চৌধুরী) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and Member of Parliament from Madaripur-1 and whip of Jatiya Sangsad.
Early life
Chowdhury was born on 1 June 1964. He completed an HSC or High School graduation degree. He is the nephew of father of nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. His father, Ilias Ahmed Chowdhury, is a paternal cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Career
Chowdhury was elected to Parliament in 2014 from Madaripur-1 as a Bangladesh Awami League Candidate. He is the Whip of the Parliament. He is also a member of the parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Housing and Public Works. He was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Shipping.
