Biography
Abdulla -Al- Morshed also known as Morshed Mishu (born July 29, 1993) is a Bangladeshi cartoonist, illustrator and wall/graffiti artist. He is a self-taught cartoonist who is renowned for his contribution to cartoons nationally & internationally both on the internet and in print media. He is the Assistant Editor of Unmad, Monthly Satire Magazine (the longest running cartoon satire magazine in South Asia). He was included in Forbes' list of 30 Under 30 in 2019 under Media, Marketing and Advertising category.
Career
Mishu has been working as a professional cartoonist since 2012. Now he is acting as the Assistant Editor of Monthly Satire Magazine UNMAD. He also worked as an Editorial Cartoonist for the Daily Bangladesh Today & as an illustrator for Bitopi Advertising ltd. In his early professional life, he contributed cartoons in various national dailies such as Daily Jugantor, Daily Amader Shomoy, Daily Dhaka Tribune etc.
Notable works
He is widely known for his works on ‘The Global Happiness Challenge' project to show how beautiful the world can be without War. Cartoonist Abdulla Al Morshed, made it onto the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2019 list for his works on ‘The Global Happiness Challenge' project. He is also the author of several nonfiction works of satire. His works are mainly about political illustration and clean humour cartoons & comic strips.
Recognition
At the beginning of 2018 Morshed Mishu began transforming tragic and shocking images from wars into joyful art, hoping to show how beautiful the world would be without violence and war. His series, named 'The Global Happiness Challenge' project, went viral after that. He has been selected for 30 Under 30 - Asia 2019 by Forbes.
