Morris Chen (Chinese name: 陳漢承), is the first Taiwanese racing driver to join 24 Hours of Le Mans.
About
Morris Chen started his racing career at age of 28 in 2004 because he spent most of his time on school and business before he start his first race in Asian Touring Car Series. He won 3rd place in his first race ever in Bira Circuit in Thailand; But he had to departure from the race to focus on his new company. After 6 years of absent in motor racing, he returned his beloved racing in 2011; He had won two trophies in this season in Asian Touring Car Series with his Honda WTCC and BTCC race cars. In 2012, he started his first GT race with Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 in Blancpain Endurance Series in Monza Circuit. He had good results in 2012 Touring Car Series in Asia and he also won the 2012 team champion title. In 2013, he join Asian Le Mans Series with BMW Z4 GT3 and he won 2nd place with Porsche 997 GT3 RSR in Sepang Circuit. He also won 2nd overall in S2000 class in 2013 Taiwan Option Cup series. In 2014, he continued his success in Japan Super Series, Malaysia Super Series, Taiwan Super Series, Asian Le Mans Series and he also won 2014 Asian Le Mans team champion. He was invited to join 2015 Le Mans 24 hours race and he have became the first Taiwanese team and driver to join this one of the most important race in the world. He is not only finished the race but won 6th overall in ProAM class with Porsche 991 RSR; He also won a champion in Japan Super Car Race Series and he also won 2nd Pleace with Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 in one of the most important endurance race in Asia – SRO Sepang 12 hour race. He will participate in 2016 Japan Super Taikyu (Endurance) series with Ferrari 488 GT3.
