She won the women's Skeleton World Cup overall title in 2002-3.
Born in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Kelly now lives in Calgary.

Controversy

In 2009, while qualifying for the World Cup selection, Michelle Kelly was disqualified after post-race testing revealed that the runners on her sled were in violation of rules set by the International Bobsleigh and Toboggan Federation, improving her run time. An appeal was set up, and she was ultimately allowed to regain her place.
