Biography
Mehmet Tahir Şaşmaz, (d. 1945, Elazığ), Türk siyasetçi.
İstanbul Yüksek İslam Enstitüsü mezunudur. Din Bilgisi Öğretmenliği, Elazığ Millî Eğitim Müdür Muavinliği, Ortaokul Öğretmenliği, Elazığ Gazi Endüstri Meslek Lisesi Öğretmenliği, Bahçelievler Ortaokul Öğretmenliği, TBMM 5.(XVI) ve XVIII. Dönem Elazığ Milletvekilliği yapmıştır. Evli ve üç çocuk babasıdır.Oyuncu Necati Şaşmaz 'ın amcasıdır.
