Biography
Maugis was bishop of Avranches from c.1017-1022. Apparently, he initiated the construction of the cathedral on 1125. He appears as witness in 10 charters, and Richard Allen notes that they show the growing coherence of the Norman episcopate, since many bishops subscribe most of them. He died c.1026.
