Matteo da Gimara was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Agrigento (1442-1445).
Biography
Matteo da Gimara was ordained a priest in the Order of Friars Minor. On 17 Sep 1442, he was appointed by Pope Eugene IV as Bishop of Agrigento. On 30 Jun 1443, he was consecrated bishop by Giovanni Rosa, Bishop of Mazara del Vallo. He served as Bishop of Agrigento until his resignation in 1445.
