Matila Waqanidrola

Matila Vitorina Waqanidrola is a Fijian netball player from Vunibau, Serua who was born to Veremo and Bulou Jojiana Waqanidrola. She made her first debut at the 2001 Pacific Mini Games in Norfolk Island and between 2002 and 2004 was on Netball North Harbour team, after which she participated at the 2004 ANZ Championships. She was inspired by the Silver Ferns player Vilimaina Davu. In 2016 Matila had joined Nadroga A and participated in the Punjas/Digicel National Netball Championship at the Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. The same year, she joined Fiji Rugby Union and traveled with the Commonwealth Youth Games representative Merewai Cumu to Atlanta and Langford, South Dakota via Nadi International Airport. In 2018, the former Fijian Pearls captain, married Samuela Raganitoga Waqawai at the Vunidilo Methodist Church in Suva.
