Matej Freund (Freundt, Mathias) (*Banská Bystrica? - † 25. február 1567,, Česko?) bolpedagóg.
Životopis
Vyučoval náboženstvo, lat. a gramatiku, rétoriku a dialetiku; rektor latinskej partikulárnej školy v Banskej Bystrici (1563-1567); prišiel z Těšína. Mestskej rade v Banskej Bystrici predložil študijný poriadok školy (1566), zaslúžil sao rozšírenie objektov školy.
