Manolis Papadrakakis
Quick Facts
Biography
Manolis Papadrakakis (Greek: Μανόλης Παπαδρακάκης; born in Heraklion, Crete), is a Greek Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, who works in computational mechanics.
Papadrakakis received his Diploma in Civil Engineering from the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1971 and he continued his studies at the City University of London, UK, where he received an MSc in structural engineering (1975) and a PhD in computational mechanics (1978). His research activity is mainly focused on the development and the application of the latest computer methods and technology to structural engineering analysis and design. He is one of the Editors of the journal Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, published by Elsevier.
