Biography
Mac (MacDonald) Henderson is a former Scottish Badminton Player. He was president of the Scottish Badminton Union from 1979 to 1981.
Achievements
Henderson began his international career in 1957. He won the Irish Open in 1958.
In 1959, Henderson won his first national title in Scotland.
In 1966 he won again at the Irish Open.
In 1968, he won bronze in the double with Robert McCoig in the first European Badminton Championships.
He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from BADMINTONScotland’s Patron, HRH The Earl of Wessex.

I made my Scotland debut in 1957 in Doras, Sweden. Scotland lost 9-0. I think we might have done a bit better had we used the new scoring system! But at least Donald Ross and I won the men’s doubles in the tournament in Scotland which followed the international.
