Biography
Mabel Killam Day (1884-1960) was a Canadian artist.
Early life
Killam Day was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on July 7, 1884. Between 1900 and 1904 she studied at the Mount Allison Ladies' College. Between 1905 and 1933, she lived in New England and the eastern United States with her husband Frank Parker Day.
Art career
The first exhibition of her work occurred in New York in 1909. Her first solo exhibition was in 1923 at the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh. Her work is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada and the Dalhousie Arts Centre.
She died August 26th, 1960 in Yarmouth.
