Liubou Uladykouskaja (belarusian Любоў Мікалаеўна Уладыкоўская, born 14 February 1967) – is a culturologist, enlightener, Belarusian public figure. A Founder and Director General of the Institution “Intercultural Dialogue”.
Biografy
She was born in February 14, 1967 in the Sluck district Minsk Region.In 1989 graduated from the Belarusian State University, earned PhD in Belarusian Studies in 1993. L. Uladykouskaja worked as a Lecturer at the European Humanities University, as a Chief inspector at the Ministry of Education and Science of Belarus (1994–1998). Was a Director of the F. Skaryna National Scientific and Educational Center (1998–2004). Worked as a manager at the Belarusian State University and at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Participated in joint civic and scientific projects in Poland, Great Britain,Germany, Luxembourg, France, USA, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine. In 2014–2015 was a Fulbright Scholar, Cultural Anthropology Department, the University of Florida. Since 2010 is a Founder and Director General of the Institution “Intercultural Dialogue” which unites representatives of various professional groups (education, science, business,religion, diplomacy, media). L. Uladykouskaja has implemented dozens social programs and international projects aimed at national building, cultural development, democratic transformation, and moral healing of the Belarusian society. She supported the Belarusian language extension including in the Catholic Church, at the end of 1990s was a Vice-Chair of the Organizing Committee of the Minsk Catholic University. L. Uladykouskaja contributed to the American Studies development in Belarus. With Dr. V. Shalatonin as a coauthor has introduced George Lakhovsky’s heritage into the Belarusian scientific and cultural context.
Work
Liubou Uladykouskaja is an author of several university courses and about 300 publications on intercultural dialogue, nation building, Belarusian culture, religious ideals, preservation of cultural originality, democratic transformation, and the USA. Her books are: «Water Colors of Love: Conception of the National Outlook» (2000), «Spiritual Ideals in the Modern Belarusian Culture and Values of Globalism» (2009), «How to Preserve Cultural Originality» (2010), «Discovery of My America, Or Why Do the Belarusians Need the USA?» (2012), «Intercultural Dialogue: American Paradigm» (2014), «Spiritual Life of the Society and Globalization: How Belarusian Culture has been Transformed?» (2017).
Private Life
Liubou Uladykouskaja is a Catholic. By 2006, her surname was Kanaplianik (Uladykouskaja-Kanaplianik ). She is married, has two children.
