Laurin Hendrix (Michael Laurin Hendrix) is an American businessperson, entrepreneur, and politician (Republican). He was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 through 2011.
Life and career
Hendrix was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He attended South High School In Bakersfield and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California at Irvine. In 1987, he moved to Arizona in pursuit of a better quality of life, lower taxes, and less government intervention in his personal life.
Business
Hendrix has been self-employed since graduating college. He has owned and managed businesses specializing in auto repair, manufacturing, home construction, land development, retail sales, import/exports, business consulting, legal services, and banking.

Politics
Hendrix is a member of the Gilbert City Council in Arizona. He assumed office on December 31, 2020. His current term ends in 2023. He is running for election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 14. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 8, 2022. He advanced from the Republican primary on August 2, 2022.
Earlier, from 2009 to 2011, Hendrix was a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing the 22nd District. He was elected to the House in November 2010. He ran for re-election in 2012, but was defeated in the Republican primary by Eddie Farnsworth and Steve R. Urie.
