Biography
Lalit Mohan Tiwari is an Indian film and television actor. He is best known for his role as Sanjaya in B.R. Chopra’s epic television series Mahabharat (1988–1990) and Shyam Benegal's historical television series Bharat Ek Khoj (Discovery of India, 1988).
An alumnus of National School of Drama, he made his film debut with Sudhir Mishra's Yeh Woh Manzil To Nahin (1987). His next film was postmodernist film, Om-Dar-Ba-Dar (1988) directed by Kamal Swaroop, which became a cult classic. Over the years he has worked on numerous parallel cinema films with Shyam Benegal in films like Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda, Mammo, Hari-Bhari , Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero, Welcome to Sajjanpur and Well Done Abba! . Besides he has worked with mainstream Bollywood directors like Yash Chopra in Chandni, Lamhe and Aditya Chopra's debut film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
