Keith Higgins

Biography
Keith Higgins is an Irish sportsperson. He has played Gaelic football and hurling for both his club Ballyhaunis and the Mayo senior inter-county teams.
In 2006, he was the Young Player of the Year. He also captained both the Mayo Under 21 Football & Hurling teams to All Ireland Championships. Injury ruled him out of the 2007 championship.[1] Higgins has also represented Mayo and has played for Connacht in the Railway Cup in hurling winning a medal in 2005, in 2014 he became the first Connacht player won win football & hurling Railway Cups after Connacht win a first title since 1968. Hurling is his first love. In 2005 he won a Christy Ring Cup All Star, In 2008, Higgins was nominated for the Christy Ring Cup Player of the Year award. Higgins was voted as the Cadbury's Hero of the Future in 2006.
During Mayo's 2011 NFL campaign, Higgins received praise for his outstanding performances in right half back with people all across the nation noting his great pace, strength, reading of the game and said there is a lot more to come from this young prodigy.
