Biography
Kao Shao-yuan (Chinese: 高邵媛; born 11 June 1988) is an inactive Taiwanese professional tennis player.
Kao has a career high WTA singles ranking of 630 achieved on 4 December 2006. She also has a career high WTA doubles ranking of 213 achieved on 6 June 2011. Kao has won 18 ITF doubles titles on the tour.
Akita made her WTA main draw debut at the 2013 Malaysian Open in the doubles event, partnering Hsieh Shu-ying. They lost in the first round to Marta Domachowska and Alicja Rosolska.
