Biography
Josef Schildknecht, també conegut com Joseph Coelestin Othmar Schildknecht, (St. Georgen, St. Gallen/cantó, (Suïssa), 4 de febrer, 1861 — Mariaberg, bei Rorshach (Suïssa), 6 de setembre, 1899), va ser un compositor suís.
Es distingí en el gènere religiós. Va escriure nombroses Misses; un Rèquiem; obres corals i per a orgue; la didàctica Praktische Anleitung zur Registriren, i un Organum comitans ad Graduale Romanum.
