Biography
John Fernandez Raspado (born February 20, 1981 in Quezon City, a native of Baguio City, Philippines) is a professional online marketing businessman and the current Mr. Gay World Philippines 2017. He speaks both Ilocano, Tagalog and English. He was crowned last October 2, 2016 at UP Theater Diliman. Raspado bagged multiple special awards: Best in National Costume, Best in Talent, Mr. Popularity and Mr. Photogenic. Raspado defeated Pangasinan's Bench Ortiz and Zamboanga Del Sur's Khalil Veracruz; first and second runners up, respectively.
Before Mr. Gay World Philippines, he was the grand champion of ABS-CBN's It's Showtime: I Am Pogay contest. His personal life story was even featured in a Lenten TV special of the same network.
Raspado will compete for Mr. Gay World 2017 in Madrid and Maspalomas, Spain on May 5–10, 2017.
