Joanne Takahashi (born November 13, 1963) is an American actress known for her roles in Women: Stories of Passion (1997), The Young and the Restless (1999), and Bob, Verushka & the Pursuit of Happiness (2000).
Early life and education
Joanne Takahashi was born as Joanne Mayumi Takahashi on November 13, 1963, in San Francisco, California. She was a classical pianist in her high school years. Later, she received a Master in Fine Arts degree from American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco, California.
Career
Takahashi has worked extensively in theater. She made her silver screen debut in 1994 with a minor role of a reporter in director Jefery Levy's comedy S.F.W.
In 1996, she was seen as a waitress in Betty Thomas's comedy/drama The Late Shift. In the same year, she lent her voice to "Grace Nakimura" character in the video game The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery. The game, also known as Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, is an interactive movie point-and-click adventure game released by Sierra On-Line in 1995. Dean Erickson was the voice behind the character "Gabriel Knight."
In 2000, Takahashi was seen in one of the primary characters Bob, Verushka & the Pursuit of Happiness. Takahashi played the character of "Mai Ling", whereas Pasha D. Lychnikoff was seen as "Illya" and Michael Waite was seen as "Bob Friends".
Takahashi was last seen on the silver screen in 2007 in director Mikiko Sasaki's short film January.
