Biography
Jeroen Hermkens (Sint Anthonis, 31 maart 1960) is een Nederlands lithograaf en kunstschilder.
Carrière
Zijn opleiding volgde hij aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht en het Atelier lithografique Champfleury in Parijs. Zijn litho's en schilderijen zijn krachtig en expressief; de inspiratie haalt hij in Nederland maar ook in het buitenland. Hij exposeerde al in buitenlandse musea en CNN zond in 2002 een documentaire over hem uit.
In 1996 ontving hij de Nederlandse Grafiekprijs voor zijn grote litho's. In 2006 werd hij verkozen tot Nederlands Kunstenaar van het jaar.
Zijn atelier bevindt zich in een werfkelder aan de Oudegracht in Utrecht.
