Biography
Jane Egerton-Idehen is the Country Manager Nigeria and Regional Sales Director West Africa at Avanti Communications. She was previously part of the executive leadership team at Ericsson in Ghana and Liberia. She holds an engineering degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an MBA from the Warwick Business School and an executive education from Harvard Business School. She was listed as one of the #50LeadingLadiesinCorporateNigeria in 2019. She is a co-founder of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) in Nigeria, an international professional organization for to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering.
Education
Egerton-Idehen graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2001. She proceeded to the Warwick Business School in 2007 and got her MBA in 2010. She has a degree in executive education from Harvard Business School.
Career
Egerton-Idehen started her career as Earth Station Engineer at Spar Aerospace Limited in Lagos, Nigeria right after her graduation from the university. She proceeded to Ericsson, Nigeria as a Product Manager in 2003 and became a Sales Manager in 2005. She left Ericsson in 2010 after serving as an Account Manager from 2008 to 2010. She took up a position of Acting Customer Team Head, MTN Nigeria for Nokia Siemens in 2010 up till 2012 when she returned to Ericsson as Senior Account Manager. From 2013 to 2017 she was Key Account Manager Ericsson Ghana & Liberia before returning to Nigeria as Country Manager Nigeria and Regional Sales Manager West Africa at Avanti Communications.
Personal life
Egerton-Idehen is married and has two children, a boy and a girl.
