James Brady

James Brady was an American journalist, a columnist for Advertising Age magazine, and the author of a popular weekly syndicated column that was published in over 200 newspapers.

James Brady was born on February 17, 1928.

Brady began his journalism career in new magazine in 1949 and subsequently worked in public relations for Standard Brands. After spending eight years as a copywriter for Doyle Dane Bernbach, Inc., one of New York City's top advertising agencies, Brady was named executive vice president of the agency in 1964, while simultaneously launching his writing career.

James Brady's popular weekly syndicated column was called "In Step With", which featured interviews with celebrities and public figures. The column was published in over 200 newspapers.

James Brady passed away on January 26, 2009, at the age of 80 after a fall at his New York City apartment.
