Biography
Jack A. Deloplaine (born April 21, 1954) is a former American football running back in the National Football League. He led the NAIA in scoring in 1975 with 22 touchdowns in 11 games for a total of 132 points. He was drafted in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers out of Salem College (now known as Salem International University) in Salem, West Virginia. He played four seasons in the league with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Washington Redskins, and the Chicago Bears, accumulating 165 yards rushing and two touchdowns, as well as two Super Bowl rings.
Deloplaine was nicknamed "Hydroplane" for his running ability in wet conditions. He now lives in Anderson, South Carolina.
