Imogene Goodshot Arquero

Imogene Jessie Goodshot Arquero is an Oglala Sioux artist from South Dakota. She is known for her beadwork, in which she combines traditional techniques with contemporary forms such as tennis shoes and baseball caps. She began her career as a traditional beadworker before turning to modern forms. Arquero is married to the artist Dominic Arquero, and lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work is held by the Fenimore Art Museum, among other institutions.
