هرمز أحد قادة الدولة الساسانية كان أميرًا على سواد العراق قبيل الفتح الإسلامي لفارس. كان هرمز أول قادة الجيوش الفارسية التي واجهها جيش خالد بن الوليد في فتحه للعراق، وقد لقي هرمز مصرعه في مبارزة مع خالد بن الوليد في بداية معركة ذات السلاسل.
