Biography
Hans Boland (Djakarta, 1951) is vertaler Russisch en onder andere bekend van het vertalen van de complete Poesjkin naar het Nederlands en van het vertalen van de poëzie van Anna Achmatova.
Boland kwam in 2014 in het nieuws omdat hij de prestigieuze Poesjkin-medaille, een Russische literaire onderscheiding, weigerde.
Boland schrijft zelf ook, onder andere De zachte held (2014, ISBN 9789025303624).
