Biography
General Hamid bakeri (1955–1984) was born in West Azerbaijan Province.Before Islamic Revolution he entered opposition groups and begun to struggle against shah regime.he was one of the IRGCs commanders in iran-iraq war.he was killed in Operation Kheibar and his corpse has not been found yet.
Early life
Hamid bakeri was born in a religious family in Miandoab, West Azerbaijan Province.He missed his mother in a car accident when he was a small child. Hamid and his brother, Mehdi Bakeri ,were always together. They started struggling against shah regime when studying in high school. They were familiar with Islam, politic and revolution by their older brother, ALI bakeri,the Assistant Professor of Sharif University of Technology, who was killed by savak in 1972.after high school hamid decided to study abroad.at first he traveled to turkey and then to germany, Aachen.when he was in germany he spent lots of time in Islamic Centre Hamburg.
Islamic revolution
when Ruhollah Khomeini entered france,hamid leaved studying and went into the paris.he had a new mission in paris .he was dispatched to syria and lebanon to learn civil wars, guerrilla organization, method of making bombs and other martial and military issues .also hamid and his brother, Mehdi Bakeri, started to smuggle weapons inside iran to arm opposition groups. In 1979 when imam Khomeini entered iran and by victory of Islamic Revolution,hamid came back to the country. hamid, mehdi and revolutionary forces took the control of the city and Military Centers, hamid and mehdi started training revolutionary forces.By establishing of Urmias IRGC he joined to this force.
when conflicts intensified in Kurdistan,mehdi and his companions Were dispatched to the region and they could regain the city.also he played an important role in regaining Mahabad, Piranshahr and Baneh.when they could overcome anti revolutioners, they started to reconstructing the cities.
Iran Iraq war
In September 1980 Iraq attacked Iran.mehdi went into the abadan battlefields.after two month he came back home and started to work in town Hall.but after a while he returned to battlefields.it was hard for him to be in such this position when he could be more useful in war zone.at first he attended Operation Fath ol-Mobin.in Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas he was the battalion commander of NAJAF ASHRAF brigade and did a great effort in breaking the siege of abadan.he performed very greatly in operation Muslim ibn Aqeel in Sumar, Iran and his hand was injured in this operation and because of his courage and valor he was appointed as the commander of HAZRATE-ABOLFAZL brigade and then the deputy of 31 ASHOORA division .most of the time he was in battle fronts and he fought side by side with soldiers.he always advised his subordinates to stamina and endurance and trained them to act without adequate facilities against the enemy with the most advanced combat capabilities.in Operation Moharam and Operation Dawn 2 his foot was injured and he was transmitted to tehran for medical treatment.but he did not give up and return to war zone.

Death
In Operation Kheibar hamid and his companions could capture MAJNON bridge and they could encircled the enemy which seems the most important part of operation. MAJNON bridge was very strategic in this operation so hamid and his companions tried hard not to let the enemy to capture the bridge and finally after two days of resisting hamid was killed.hamid's corpse has not been found yet.
