Biography
Gosaku Ota (桜多 吾作, Ōta Gosaku) is a former member of Dynamic Productions. His real name is Junichi Ota (太田 順一, Ōta Jun'ichi). He has also used the pseudonym of Satoshi Kitagawa (北川 賢, Kitagawa Satoshi). He was born in March 16, 1948, in the city of Kaminoyama in Yamagata Prefecture
His professional debut was in 1971 with Himawari-chan for the Bessatsu Shonen Jump magazine. He is mostly known for his versions of the super robots of Dynamic, such as Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Getter Robot and UFO Robot Grendizer. He is also the main designer of Groizer X. He is still drawing manga independently.
