Biography
Fatih Taygar (born May 7, 1999), is a Turkish ice hockey forward currently playing in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League for Zeytinburnu Belediyespor. He is a member of the Turkey men's national junior ice hockey team. The 1.87 m (6 ft 1 1⁄2 in) tall player at 70 kg (150 lb) shoots left-handed.
Playing career
Club
Taygar began his ice hockey career at Erzurum Gençlik SK playing in the 2014–15 Turkish Ice Hockey First League season. The next season, he joined Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyesi GSK, which competed in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League. In 2016, he transferred to the Istanbul-based league-champion team Zeytinburnu Belediyespor.
He played at the first round of the 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, and advanced to the second round in Jaca, Spain.
International
Taygar was admitted to the national U-18 team and played at the IIHF World U18 Championship Division III matches of 2015 and 2016.
He played with the nayional under-20 team and took part at the IIHF World U20 Championship matches in 2015 and 2016.
