Biography
Émile Antonio (born 22 April 1928 in Auzat-la-Combelle (Puy-de-Dôme) is a retired French footballer.
Biography
Making his debut at his local club, La Combelle CCA, Antonio played as a professional at Sète, Nice and Lyon.
He spent one season at OGC Nice with whom he won the Coupe de France in 1954, against Olympique de Marseille, 2-1.
He stayed at Olympique lyonnais for 7 seasons : he played 183 matches (of which 160 were league games) and scored 23 goals. He is still a well renowned player at Gerland.
In 1961, he finished his professional career. He played for two seasons at AS Montferrand, before returning to his first club, La Combelle CCA. He coached this club between 1963 and 1975.
