Biography
Dominique Leroy, born on November 8, 1964 in Ixelles, is the CEO of the Belgian telecommunications company Proximus Group. The ministers of the Belgian Cabinet appointed Leroy as successor to Didier Bellens on 9 January 2014.
Since June 2012, she has been executive vice president of the consumer business unit and was a member of the management committee of Belgacom. Earlier she was an independent board member of Lotus Bakeries (since 2009).
Before joining Belgacom she worked for 24 years at Unilever where she has been managing Director of Unilever Belgium from September 2007 until October 2011. From February 2006 until August 2007 she had been the national customer development director of Unilever Belgium. Before joining Unilever, Dominique Leroy worked with Hartog Union Belgium where she had different positions. She went to Solvay Business School where she obtained a master's degree in business economics in 1987.
