Biography
David Iwanow was previously the founder of The Lost Agency started back in 2007 as a digital agency who focuses on helping business with digital strategy around the following areas of Web Analytics, Social Media Campaigns and Search Engine Optimisation. His educational background included a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from James Cook University (Cairns).
Background
His knowledge of the web comes from a background that included almost daily use of the Internet since 1994. This 20+ years of web usage allows him an historical insight into the evolution of the web and what works and what has failed. Since 2013 he was working at eBay classifieds group as SEO Product Manager for Marktplaats.nl, one of the leading websites in the Netherlands, and 2dehands.be, the leading classified website in Belgium. In 2016 he will join the team at BlueGlass UK.
Published books
In 2009 he was invited by O'Reilly publishing to help co-author the second edition of Google Advertising Tools. Iwanow is a published author on the topic of Google Advertising.
Industry exposure
Iwanow is an active member of the online marketing community, having been referenced on the topic of Google Doesn't Understand What None Means and been invited to contribute to the last several Moz Industry Surveys. He has been an active writer in the online marketing space for several years writing for several leading industry blogs.
SEO Meetup founding member
Iwanow is also one of the founding members of SEO Meetups, one of the largest digital marketing industry meetups in Australia that is run monthly across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
