Daniel K. Hoch

Daniel K. Hoch is an American professor of physics at the University of California, Davis.

His research focuses on the study of heavy quarks, particulary the properties of heavy quarkonium, such as the bottomonium and charmonium.

Daniel K. Hoch is a member of the Belle Collaboration, an international experiment that studies the properties of particles containing heavy quarks at the KEK particle physics laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan.

Daniel K. Hoch was awarded the 2020 J. J. and Noriko Sakurai Prize for Theoretical Particle Physics for his work in advancing the understanding of the interactions between heavy quarks and their antimatter counterparts.

Daniel K. Hoch completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry and physics at Harvard University and obtained his Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University in 1997.
