Biography
Dan Langan is an American baker and TV personality. He first appeared in 2016 as a finalist on Season 2 of Food Network's Spring Baking championship and later won Cake Wars. Langan has since appeared as a judge on various Food Network shows such as Christmas Cookie Challenge, Winner Cake All, Duff's Halloween Cake Off and Chopped Sweets. In 2019 he became part of the newly launched Food Network Kitchen app, appearing in several on-demand cooking classes. In December 2019 Dan made his first appearance on Good Morning America.
Early life
Langan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child he started baking with his mother and grandmother. In middle school he began teaching himself to decorate cakes and then in high school Langan worked as a cake decorator at the now closed La Dolce Bakery in Havertown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2012. The same year Langan started his blog, Baked By Dan.
Dan Can Bake It
In 2018 Langan appeared as the host in the first season of his Food Network digital series, Dan Can Bake It. In the show Food Network gives Langan a bakery box filled with a message and visual clues of the baking challenge that he must undertake that week. Season 2 of Dan Can Bake It premiered in January 2019.
Bakeaway Camp With Martha Stewart
In February 2020, Food Network announced that Langan would join Carla Hall and Jesse Palmer as a guest judge on the new series Bakeaway Camp With Martha Stewart.
